Mono Shirt

$110.00

Designer Name: KAHALA

Since the early thirties, Japanese textiles and artwork have played an integral role in the creation of the Aloha Shirt. Hawai'i tailor shops used deconstructed kimono fabric to fashion some of the first aloha shirts. This 1940s heritage print depicts scenes inspired by a renowned Japanese masterpiece, "The Tale of Genji." Look closer and you'll discover two women enjoying a game of go and a man playing the flute in elegant garb against the backdrop of lush gardens.
