We are delighted to present our range of espadrilles to you and we invite you first of all to visit our Espadrilles workshop which is located in Phnom Penh!Details:
- Made from fabric scraps from our Kramas, our espadrilles are part of an upcycling approach: a circular economy to bring our existing fabrics back to life.
- Our espadrilles are of course supportive: for each pair ordered you offer 4 hours of teaching to a schoolchild educated by Pour un Sourire d'Enfant.
- The sole of the espadrille is made of braided jute. Jute is a reed whose fiber, once dried, becomes very flexible and can be made into a rope. Jute also has the advantage of being hypoallergenic, which allows the espadrilles to be worn barefoot. Finally, it is eco-friendly because it does not require treatment and is natural.
- A layer of anti-slip rubber is added: it allows to lengthen the life of the espadrille.
- All the fabrics used are 100% cotton and lined: they come from the Phnom Penh market. The Kramas come from our workshop in Phnom Penh and the logo is embroidered by hand.
- The assembly of the espadrilleis finally done by hand: the visible seam, signature of our espadrilles, is the product of the patience and dexterity of an expert hand .
- Two teams of craftsmen, whose portraits you can discover on our Ulule page, are mobilized for each pair, the realization ofwhich requires about an hour and a half of work.
- One scarf, One smile: for each pair pre-ordered, we finance 4 hours of teaching in the remedial school of Pour un Sourire d'Enfant.
- Our espadrilles are available from size 35 to 45. Choose your pair according to your size: if you are 41, take 41. If you have an intermediate/comma size, round up to the lower size: if you are 41.5, take 41.
