- Stone: Carnelian is a variety of Chalcedony and comes from the Latin word Carneus meaning ‘fleshy’ referring to its colour. In Egypt, this stone was used to protect the dead in their journey to the afterlife. Strongly associated with goal achievement and new opportunity.
