Our designs are hand-drawn and the finest gems are hand-selected before the pieces are handmade by some of the best London jewellery craftsmen who have been making handmade jewellery for generations, resulting in: 'the most exquisite handmade jewels'. Each collection is inspired by a luxury destination. Augustine Jewels immortalize the memories of a beautiful location in each London jewellery collection, by capturing the dazzling colours and natural beauty of luxury destinations. In doing so, Augustine Jewels reflects the kaleidoscope of influences that makes up our global community.
OUR HISTORY
Augustine Studios was part of the design group The Silver Studio from 1860 to 1963. Collections from The Silver Studio are curated at Middlesex University and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Augustine Studios was bought by the founder of Augustine Jewels, Alexandra, in 1995, with the dream of being able to revive it as a design studio specializing in London jewellery, handmade jewellery, and bespoke jewellery at a later date.
ABOUT ALEXANDRA - THE FOUNDER
Alexandra attended Esmod School of Fashion and Design in Paris from 1988 to 1989, where she won an award for Luxury Jewellery design. She went on to Cambridge University (BA) and Stanford University (MA). After university, she built a career in Strategy and Marketing with Accenture and was made a Partner in 2000. She later became Global Head of CRM for the Consumer Goods Sector with Accenture. After a career break to raise her children, Alexandra studied Bespoke Jewellery Design at the Gemological Institute of America and became an Accredited Jewellery Professional (AJP). She also trained with the GIA in diamond and coloured stone grading. Alexandra is on the Board of the Geffrye Museum in London.
